ACTING REVIEWS
Of Magic Mirror at The Puppet Co:
“…But the puppet that stole the show (and my daughter’s heart) was Bork’s gentle giant, Agoth. The largest puppet in the production, this bright blue dragon towered over the other characters, but his imposing presence was softened by his soothing voice and Dory-esque humor. Each time this friendly fellow entered the stage, the whole room seemed to light up (and sometimes it did — there were some Agoth-loving kids in the room with light-up shoes that blinked brightly as they kicked their feet in excitement).” —DC Theatre Arts, Brittany Proudfoot Grinder
Of Knuffle Bunny at Adventure Theatre MTC:
“Props and puppets by Aiden Galbraith and Andrea “Dre” Moore respectively were creative and wielded with precision by puppeteers Julia Link and Ingrid Bork. Both ensemblists added energy, joy, and humor to the production.” —DC Theatre Arts, Hilary Sutton
Of Alice in Wonderland at The Puppet Co:
“…Before the show, lead performer Ingrid Bork welcomes the children and shows them how the large rod puppets work, using the large stuffed “white rabbit” puppet as an example. The children are immediately interested, and as she answers their questions, Bork compares Alice to a “weird dream.” “Do you ever have weird dreams?” she asks, and as every small hand shoots up, she says, “They don’t make a lot of sense, but they’re fun!” I needed to hear that. Something in my inner child clicked, and I settled in with renewed hope.” —DC Theatre Arts, Julia Amis
